At time of submitting evidence please have ready:
- Affidavit and Search Warrant or Consent to Search
- Note: The Search Warrant and Affidavit/Consent to Search must specify and give the IWRCFL the authority to analyze/search the items submitted to the IWRCFL.
- Police Report
- Completed Service Request (or can be filled out at time of drop off)
Submitted evidence can be properly sealed prior to drop off or done at time of submission. Cell phones, loose media, cameras, laptops, etc. need to be sealed in evidence bags with the initials of who sealed the packaging and date across each seal. Towers need to be sealed with evidence tape across power source and each side of tower with same initials and date half on the tape and half on the computer tower.
Please provide power cords with laptops, but hold on to the power cords for computer towers. Please check CD trays in towers and laptops and remove any CD before submitting as we do not accept those.
If there are multiple towers or items please call upon arrival for cart assistance to help with the transport.
Evidence that we do not accept for analysis:
- CDs
- DVDs
- Blue-ray discs for examination.
